The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Awesome job at the meet Brian! It's hard to believe that big Sasquatch could come up with such a good training program.

First of all, EVERYONE drinks me under the table. Secondly, you're so short you started under the table! Dude, there's 2 meets coming up down here in November. November 3rd and 10th! If you need a place to stay my house is open to you!

Sorry to clutter up your log Brian Cain. You just happen to be great at bringing people together. Usually it's in the back of a squad car....but whatever.

Yeah, I am doing it. Not sure if I am going to do it at 220 or 242 yet, I will probably know around December. And thanks....can't believe it's been two years since that meet!

Do 220's, lol!!! Yeah, it'll be 2 years in November. Same thing with Perry Ellis, that was his first meet and now he is a top ranked 275er with a 2075 total.

Done...First day back and it went very well. This is when my training schedule is going to get hard. Starting October 15th I'll have to train whenever I can, so no more set days. I was invited to compete at the American Cup, but had to say no because we can't afford to make the trip. I'm also going to pass on the SPF Pro/Am. So it looks like I might be doing the RUM6.

You'll be very happy to have a garage gym to bang out workouts whenever you get the chance... unless you're traveling after the 15th.

Brian its good to see your numbers pulling against quaded minis. I had no idea what to expect with them from the floor. Turns out they made it heavy as sh1t with anything over 400lb bar weight lol.

Great stuff as usual. Im sure you will make this work for you. Set days or not.
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

That's exactly why I decided to put one together, because I knew this was coming.

I might do raw unity. I'm waiting to see if the prize money is worth me driving down there. I just asked Eric about it since they added a bunch of sponsors recently. And also more importantly, if I'm ready to do a meet then.

RUM6 = Raw Unity Meet 6...It brings alot of raw lifters from all over. I've been wanting to do it for awhile. I also got word that my friend Scott Weech is doing it and now it looks like April Mathis might be doing it. Two of the best raw lifters on the planet!!!

    Thanks Hayden!!!

What!!! I thought you would never do another RUM? The money would be nice, but I don't have a chance, lol. You on the other hand do!!! I just but some rehband knee sleeves just in case I decide to do it.

    Squat

    Squat w/cambered bar
    Barx10
    135/2x10
    175x10
    225x8
    265x8
    315x5
    355x5
Added light belt and new rehband knee sleeves
    405/2x5
    405x10

    DB lunges
    50/3x10 (5 each leg)

    Step-ups
    18" box-2x10
    20" box-1x10

    Decline sit-ups
    BW/2x12
    BW+10x12

Done...This was my first time squatting heavy with the cambered bar. It didn't go that bad, just hard to get a grip on it. I have a Rouge cambered bar if anyone wants to know what kind I have. I might use the bar for the next 4-5 weeks to give my shoulder a break. Then it's back to the straight bar to get ready for RUM6. I might throw the bar in during the cycle. The rehbands worked out pretty good. They don't give as much support as my EFS sleeves, but so far so good. I really just want to protect my knee. I bought them for the American Cup, but since I can't do that meet, i'll use them for RUM.
