The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Done...Pretty decent day today. Lately all my deadlift sessions have felt super heavy and not as good as I would like. So today I decided to pull 705 to make sure that I can still pull 700. It was slow and ugly, but I locked it out and held it there for a few seconds. I feel better knowing that I pulled it, lol.

705 is a nice big number to pull on any day let alone a day when things felt heavy! Nice Brian. The pull has seems to have been coming along nicely over the last year.

Did you do that just to prove you can do it and I can't? Haha. I need to get my ass in gear. I can't wait to see what you hit at RUM. I heard only 6 242's have hit 1900 on the PLW all-time rankings. That's since 2007, so that's pretty awesome when you hit it.

Haha, no! I did it to prove to myself that I can still pull it. I've been having doubts lately, lol. I'm not aiming that high for RUM, my goal for this meet is 1850. It would be nice to hit 1900 at RUM!

    12 weeks out from RUM6

    Squats
    Barx10
    145/2x10
    235x10
    Working sets
    305x10
    (375x3...extra warmup set)
    455x8-Added belt
    485x6
    515x4
    545x2
    575x2

    Front squats w/SSB
    150x10
    200/2x8

    SLDL
    135x10

    Leg extensions (single leg)
    25/2x15
    35x15

    Leg curls
    35/3x12

Done...My quad felt pretty good today. I made it though a session pain free. I was taking each set and rep very carefully and my nerves were all over the place, so the weights got heavy FAST. I really wanted to push the last set for more reps, but I didn't want to chance it. So I stopped at 2 which is fine because that's all I had to get anyways.
