    Thanks guys, I appreciate it!!!

Marcus, the one thing I noticed he did different in one of his videos is, he pulls the weight about an inch or two off the floor compared to knee level like I did. So next time I'll play around with both and see which works better.

Today was by far the hardest day, lol. The 4th rep with 635 was my toughest pull ever. Let's put it this way, I pulled 725 easier then I did that 4th rep. I got the paused deadlifts from Marcus Wild who got it from Mike Tuchscherer. I'll keep doing these up to the meet and probably continue doing them after. 2 more weeks of heavy training and then openers! For this cycle I'm taking my openers two weeks out instead of 3 weeks. So pretty much, my last week of training is just openers. This meet is approaching fast, so hopefully I'll be ready.

    BAD ASS PULLS!!

Not a bad day today. I opened my stance up a little and I lowered the bar on my back more as well. I'm trying to work towards my old setup, and I think with some time, it will get there.

I also got to try out my new pair of Adidas Power Lift shoes and so far I like them. My old ones are fine and there was nothing wrong with them. The only thing I didn't like was the big heels.

Since I missed 675 at my last meet, of course that number is a goal for this meet. So for the remaining of my workouts, i'm going to end it with a static hold with 675 or more so my body will get use to the weight.

Yes, in the article he talks about how to determine where you should do the pause. It'll be slightly different for everyone.

Nice video Brian. You're looking lean, mean, and strong! Like how you to continue to accelerate all the way to lockout!

Yes, it would be nice to see the article Marcus (not trying to hijack here Brian, lol).

In a great groove with those squats, that's the norm for you anyways...you appreciate heavy weights, seemed more at ease the heavier you went.

Strong lifting, Brian. I love how 60% training for you is still more than most lifters will ever achieve in their lifting career, lol.

    http://articles.elitefts.com/trainin...ut-a-deadlift/

I'm sure some will say it's not that differently from a rack pull or block pull. The difference is when you start from the floor you are in the position you hit deadlifting. With a rack pull or block pull, you can get yourself into an easier position that doesn't match when you deadlift.

Do you find the paused exercises are helpful? See them appearing in both squat an bench days and just wondered how you find them.

Looking really strong Brian, can't wait to see how you get on at RUM

Sorry for the delay guys, I've been pretty busy. This week I've been getting my 6yo and 5yo ready for their Taekwondo test for their yellow belt. I'm happy to say that they passed and I'm very proud of them.

Thanks a lot guys for the kind words, I really appreciate it!!!

    @Marcus-Your post is approved! lol

@Hayden-This is something I'm trying out to see how they help from the bottom. I understand there purpose, and I believe they will help me in the long run.

@Coke-One has to appreciate the heavy weights. If they don't, the weights will own them, lol.

Gotta be careful with that... you don't want them throwin' you around the house for practice. It hurts!
