    Done...Yep, I changed my split again, lol. I want to focus more on my squat, so I want to add in a couple movements and figured it would be best if I went back to doing them separate. I have a couple more weeks before I start my meet prep using the new Jersey Iron hybrid template. I might do a mock meet so I have some true numbers to plug in. Now, about today, those deficits are freaking hard. It's amazing how much a 2" deficit will make the pull harder. The rack pulls felt pretty good. I think the bar was set a little too high. The bar was right at mid knee, so I'm going to drop down to pin-5 and try them in a couple weeks. My goal is to be able to rack pull 785 before my meet. Which I think would of gone today, but I didn't want to push it. I'm not expecting to pull that much at the meet, It's just a goal I set out and think it would be cool, lol. I also wore straps for all sets after my deadlifts.

    Oh yeah, I'm hoping I'll see a big difference next week. I do believe they helped me with the 700x2 pull I did a couple weeks ago.

    Not sure if it made a difference as far as making the pull harder, but I didn't use my DL bar for the rack pulls. I ended up using my bench bar, which is a Westside Econ bar from Rouge.

My shoulder is still giving me problems, and it feels so weak. I'm starting to think that this is the reason for my lack of progress on the bench.     Done...Not happy with today. I was pretty pumped about squatting today and was looking forward to hitting a PR, but it just wasn't in the cards. My last set with 645 was a complete grinder. For some reason, I don't feel comfortable under heavy weight. I decided that I need to do something different and stop killing myself, so I'm going to start my training cycle for my meet next week. It's sort of setup like the CUBE (Max-Rep-Speed), but with a Jersey Iron twist to it. It's totally different from what I've been doing, and I think it's what I need. I had to bring my stance in a little bit due to some injuries, so I'm hoping that I can adapt to it quick. For the program, I'm going to use today's number for my squat max, because I don't think I could of pushed out another 5lbs.

    Do you do any external rotation work? I had a similar problem recently with my left shoulder. I started adding cable external rotations with super light weight after every bench workout. I found that I had super low mobility in both shoulders when trying to externally rotate. The pain has subsided and I feel a lot stronger since adding these. The only problem is that I hate going so slow and sometimes I just get lazy and skip them.

    Being able to grind out a squat is not a bad thing. You might not have made a PR, but you go some heavy done completed. It counts!

    I'm on my second week of Cube training... way too early to tell a whole lot, but I do feel fresher for my workouts following the Max-Rep-Speed strategy.
