Strong work! Tough doing them both heavy at the same time, trying for the 3rd on the final set would've made that PB even harder to get, unlucky! As others have said, the music also gave me a laugh

I don't blame you, since I've been using these shoes I can't go back, lol. They are pretty solid shoes, but they are also my first pair so I have nothing to compare them with. I know Scott Yard wears the same I have and he loves them.

Thanks! I'm trying to build them up slow. I think next week I'll either down and get more reps or go up another 10lbs.

Nice to see some weighted pull ups, great exercise, haven't done 'em for a while. Your idea on the progression sounds smart.

Recently ordered myself some weightlifting shoes, good to hear positive feedback regard to there use with narrower stance squatters!

great close grips and pullups.. weighted pullups are where it's at..

I've got weightlifting shoes (Adidas AdiStar Trainers) for squatting and it feels great. Really the only thing I don't use them for is deadlifting. Even my OHPs feel a little more stable with them. strong squats and pulls.

I only use them for my squatting, I want to start using them for front squats. I used them once for benching, and im still not sure how I like them. I do know a few people who use them for pulling and they pull high 7's and low 8's.

Ed Coan was one of a few great for his time, and well above anyone else in or around the weight classes he competed in, but somebody will be better at the same weight class eventually. I think all the records around now will eventually be crushed in every weight class. Gear for sure, because they will make and allow better gear, but also raw. 50-60 years or so that the sport has been around I don't think is a true indication of human limitations.
