    Done...First time doing speed pulls with this chain setup. Not to mention, this is probably my 3rd or 4th time ever pulling with chains. For speed work, I prefer pulling against quad mini or monster bands out of my JSB. But today I felt like using chains. I did have to use my straps because I still have a tear in my hand from last week, and it's right where the bar sits. I did one single with 405 and I can feel the bar digging in. I also haven't done Pendlay rows in awhile, and I forgot how much I like these over regular rows. So I'll be going back and forth with these.

    UPDATE:

    After looking around for a meet, I think I found one. The USPA is hosting a meet on November 15-16 and it's on a weekend that I'm off, so that works out perfect. Not to mention, since last week was a deload for me, I can start training for this meet tomorrow. As of now, I am 10 weeks out, which will give me 9 weeks of some kick ass training to do.

    I'm going to keep my training split as follows:
    Monday: Squat
    Tuesday: Bench
    Wednesday: OFF
    Thursday: Deadlift
    Friday: Upper accessory
    Saturday and Sunday: OFF

    I already got my meet prep planned out for this meet. It's a little different from my last one, because I'm still trying to lose some weight and I don't think it would be a smart idea to train off percentages. So, most of my training will be working up to top sets by feel. I'm going to use reverse bands and block pulls like I normally do. But, I'm going to add in my Titan RAM for some bench training. Something totally new and I'm down to see where it puts me.

    As far as my bodyweight goes, the past couple days I've been waking up 239-240, which is pretty light for me. I feel great and I'm happy where I'm at, just not sure where my strength will be at. I still plan on losing weight, just to see how far I can take it for weigh-ins.

    Maybe 220's...................?

Hopefully i'll be a little more smarter on my numbers that I pick tomorrow and on my deadlift session.

Thursday will be a pretty big deadlift day, I got a number in mind that I'd like to pull for 5, which shouldn't be hard for me, but I'm also 20lbs lighter. So we'll see how that goes.

    So you're planning on trying to total 1900 at 220 then?

    If anything your deadlift will probably be better actually.

    No, I was wanting to lose the weight for this meet just to do it. But, I decided that I'm not going to try. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and see where my weight is at. Next year I'll try for 220's!

    Not worrying about weight makes a meet a lot more 'fun' and 'relaxed.' Its just one extra source of stress. And no matter what weight class you lift in, you're going to be strong. That is a given.

    Done...Not a bad session today. I'm going to start doing pin presses after my OHP work. I'm not exactly sure how far i'm pushing, but I feel like it's close enough to where my triceps start to die out on me. It is higher than a 3brd, I know that much. I'm hoping the extra work with the Titan Ram, pause presses and now pin presses will land me a PR bench. Next week, i'll continue working in the 5 rep range, and I have an idea of what numbers i'll be shooting for. That can all change depending on how I feel that day.     I'm sure the racks we use aren't the exact same, but I do pin presses with the bars in the 3rd hole from the bottom. If I had to guess it would equate to maybe a 4 board? I've been liking them so far. The dead stop makes it harder than a board press for sure. I'm weaker off the pins even set that high than I am normal off my chest.

    When I was thinking pin presses, you and Tim Gale came to mind. I remember reading in your journal how they were helping your lockout. I've never really given them a fair chance, lol. Since I train the majority by myself, I figured these would be a good chance to try it out. The dead stop definitely makes it harder to push through.
