The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Tattoo question

    Hey guys

Im looking at getting another tattoo on the weekend and have a question regarding training.
Would I have to take a couple of days off training so the tattoo wouldn't get streched and ruined?
Obviously it will get streched in the long run but I'm thinking in the healing process it might not be a good idea to train?

    Any experiences with this matter?
    Thanks

^--Yeh. I have no tattoos and probably never will but I'm sure that this is a question that your tattooist would have been asked before.

I have a full sleeve and a half sleeve, and I can't remember if I took time off for a couple days or not. Like the others said, ask your tattoo artist and see what he says.

When I got mine done my guy said to take a couple of days off, he described it as an open wound, which technically it is and sweat and such shouldn't get in it. It depends also on size and placement.

Agree with this this, it's not so much the stretching as it is the wound itself. I wouldn't want a fresh tattoo getting sweat in it or rubbing against anything while it healed.

Heres an option: Make your routine work to where you can have the weekend off. Go workout on friday morning, and get the tattoo done later that day and have all weekend to rest and all and go back on monday.

You'll be fine. Just wash it everyday, and keep putting the lotion on it for the two weeks that it is healing.

I lift and do Jiu-jitsu with brand new ink all the time, and my tattoos are all fine!

I have a massive back tattoo and I lifted while it was in the healing process. Bench, deadlift, squat, you name it, I did it. It came out fine.
