The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Careful man, that's the exact area I've been having problems. Can you pinpoint the sore spot by massaging with your fingers?

Thanks guys. I've been thinking the weakness is keeping my lats and upper back tight, so i'm going to add a few more sets of abs and lats when i hit those specific exercizes. My new ace briefs will be here today and hopefully i will be ordering an ace shirt tonight. I freakin missed the elitefts sale by 1 day. They were 188! Now they are 269 =(.

Just for a diet update, i stopped doing CBL because it was getting sickening. Now i just IF still but eat clean balanced meals when i'm hungry. The extra carbs already made me gain some weight back but ill adjust calories accordingly. Weight fluctuates from 225-230 weekly. Sort of alot, but some nights before the weigh in i have a dessert or something.

I think you're going to love the Ace briefs. Wait on the shirt until there is another sale, there are always sales. Also talk to Vincent before you get the Ace shirt, you may want to get the Jack instead. He has used both.

    Are you competing Oct 20?

CBL is hard going. I couldnt get going for my training sessions and my kit was hanging on me. I followed the book to the letter as you know, but six weeks was enough.

I bench in an Ace. They are brilliant when you get them going. Bit of a heartbreaker trying to get that first touch though.

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

Drew - Too late, i already ordered it lol. I cant wait any longer as i'm either doing that october 20th meet or one november 11th on long island. I facebooked Vin about it but he might of not seen it so i will ask him in his log. A training partner had the jack and i didnt like it at all.

JM - I will probably go back on it, but for now i cant stand stressing what to eat. What size ace do you wear? I talked to Jo Jordan at elite about it but the size he recommended me seemed WAY too big. He said we have similar measurments and he wears a 58. Told me to go 56 if i want it tight. I have a 56 metal king that completely swims on me, so i decided to go with a 54.

I'm going to miss the Oct 20th one this year. I'm planning on doing the January meet in NJ.

Don't get that 54 too dirty, you might still want to go with the 56. Just watching Vin and Tee use the Ace, it doesn't need to be very tight to get a whole lot out of it. See how it goes.

With the briefs, wear nylon boxer/briefs underneath (or compression shorts) and pull the legs down so they're close to your knees, then the briefs should slide right on. Pull the front of the briefs over a bar or pin in the rack and sit down into them (same as with a suit) and then do the same for the back. Once you have them on all the way, you can tuck the legs of the boxers back into your briefs so they don't slide. Makes it a lot easier to get them off too.

Appreciate the help Drew. They will surely go on. As far as that shirt i have really small arms for my size and not too much shoulder width but im pretty thick on the chest so it should work, if not ill see if i can send it back.

I hope it goes well man. I really wanted to be 220 but i gained a little weight going off CBL so losing 10 pounds in 1.5 months is a bit too much i think. Going to try but i cant afford to get weak. As far as numbers i have no clue on the squat because ive never worn full gear. Id like to say at least 750. Bench hitting my old PR of 550 @ 25-30 lbs less body weight would be cool. Deadlift is 700 or bust.

Good luck at your meet. 435 raw bench is insane bro.
