Man i have no idea whats going on with my body. After that squat workout friday my left quad and inner groin/hamstring was brutally sore. I went in Monday anyways to deadlift and warming up with 135 conventional something popped pretty good. I was pretty fed up at this point but a partner reccommended i try sumo and believe it or not that felt ok. It was basically a stiff leg. Worked up to 500 and missed 585 because my back felt like it was going to snap. Dropped to 415 and did 8 sets of 2.

    Help....

Did you feel like anything was off during the squat workout? Could have a partial tear, kind of hard to tell sometimes. Is swollen at all?

Not really...i rounded over on the 475 a bit and it i certainly felt it in the area my low back has been bothering me. I went ahead and did 3-4 sets of 12 with 245 very deep. I usually favor one side because of my allignment issue. I think thats what aggravated my left side. I feel fine right now, just a little sore in that area (hamstring/groin). To be safe i'm going to skip squatting tomorrow.

Looking pretty consistent my man. Hope the leg doesnt give you too much bother.

my god what a horrible exercise lol.
Agreed but they do get better. Or at least you recover from them better. I remember the couple of days after I first did them. I had pains where I didnt know I had windows.

Snatch grips are beyond brutal, still looking as strong as ever Stump. I too hold my weight in my lower stomach and ass.. takes a shit load of diet extremism for to keep them in check, keep it up brother.

    Thank you kind sir.

Missed squatting due to the weather. Not really concerned. Going in this morning to hit some overheads and close grips. Going to go up about 5 pounds on my top set and see how it goes.

Tonights workout is just ridiculous. 65% + doubled minis for "speed" i think 6 doubles, then 75% on snatch grip block pulls, then pause deadlifts. 75% on the snatch pulls puts me at 500 for 2 sets of 8. WTF?

    Wish me luck....

Livin in the woods is definitely different than white collar coastal CT but i'm diggin it so far aside from not having access to a proper gym. Workout looked brutal man I don't blame you for doing what you had to do on the snatch grips, thats beastly.

My girlfriend did one semester at UVM so i went up there at least 4 times. Just the ride alone, although long as hell, is worth the trip. I love driving through those mountains on route 89.

Yah man I actually look forward to the ride too and from when I go back to CT to visit. I moved up here in September and haven't gotten a chance to get my hike on yet but once all the snow melts I plan on doing plenty of that plus paddle boarding across lake champlain for extra workouts.
