The lifting and running part, not the pissing part.

I dunno why I don't read in here more often. Your workouts are always interesting. I could probably learn a lot too..lol

That mile time is just stupid fast at over 200lbs. Hell, it's stupid fast at 100lbs..lol

Probably because I never update it, and this journal contains more self-effacement than actual info. But thanks mate- felt good to get out there and move, nice switch from chugging along at a shuffle.

I just thought I'd update today's super fun deadlift extravaganza, mostly because it was instructional to me.

    Sumo deadlifts:
    135 x 6
    225 x 4
    315 x 2
    405 x 2
added briefs (Can't pull without 'em since my hamstring is and forever will be partially torn)
    495 x 1
    505 x 1
    525 x 1
545 x 1 (faster than the last one)
    565 x 1 (even better!)
    585 x 1 (Not better. Worse)
    605 x 1 (This was shite)
625 x -0.1 (I removed a tenth of a point since not only did it not go anywhere, but I stubbed my toe kicking the plates out of frustration afterwards.
    495 x 3

So, lower back, DEFINITELY the part of me that's gotten weaker since I've been doing all this extra cardio. I thought this was interesting, I had my GoPro3 camera filming, and that's where the structure broke down as the weight increased. I think it's quite frankly because A) squat suits and a tight as shit belt have kept my squat form more upright, and B) hamstring tear has mean much, much less heavy pulling and SLDLs and the like. My lower back used to be able to pull over 700, now... not so much. Leg power is fine, but without getting that strength back I'll never get back there.

So I did good mornings. 275 for about ten sets of I forget how many. They really, really hurt.

Then I went out for a 35 mile bike as punishment. It wasn't much of a punishment, but I did keep my heart rate around 150 the whole time with a few hill sprints jacking it up over 165. For an old fart like me that's probably fairly decent. I also discovered when I wear my mask (http://www.biketastic.co.uk/wp-conte...city-mask1.jpg), all black winter gear, and yell "on your left" in a gasping grunt, I scare small children. This makes cycling lots of fun.

I bet you look like the Punisher.

I saw the pic of your mask, and I thought it was the training mask I see at my MMA gym. The one that makes it harder to breathe but doesn't actually help produce more red blood cells, because guys wear it for a half hour and not the 2 weeks it would take to work.
