The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I'm almost 6' 4'' and I don't like to be this big and be simply skinny or not big enough. I like being intimidating and when I came to college and saw these football players who were as tall as me but looking twice as big because they worked out...well, I wanted to look like that and I think that's one of the reasons that got me going. Plus, I hate being embarassed about having to take off my shirt and since I live in Southern California, I'd rather do a lot more things with my shirt off than not.

too much energy and i like the feeling of being strong.

I remember doing pushups when I was about 8 years old and I could only do about 4. It 's been all downhill from there.

I basically started pounding my punching bag when I was 12 because I was thinking about my Dad. Hit hitting me and my brother.

Then gradually I got into more and more and more throughout my life after that. Learned to love it and how its basically my entire life. Well see what happens.

I got into bodybuilding because I was 200lbs, 29% bodyfat and I thought I was fat.

    Now I'm 158lbs, 13% bodyfat....and I think I'm fat.

Thanks bodybuilding, you've destroyed my life.

When I was really young seeing movies like conan and terminator and seeing Arnold, I had never seen anyone that huge and it made a big impression on me. That's what sparked my interest in bodybuilding.

I started bodybuilding to get stronger (duh!), coz I like bein' strong.

I also plan to enjoy this life-vehicle I have (my body) for many years to come, and so I want it to be in good repair.

    Plus chicks dig muscles.

    1) Low self-esteem
    2) Never been fat, lately started getting a bit of a gut
    3) Get to walk around feeling bigger than everyone else
    4) Feel Healthy
    5) Want to look good when I go back to visit my family
    6) Last longer in bed (assuming I get laid again)

Well, I got into bodybuilding 'cause I was a bit pudgy through highschool, so I decided to do something good for my body before I started University... Once I started, it got a bit addictive.. I'm not huge by any means (6'3", 214lbs, about 14%) but even so, its something that i grew to enjoy moe and more
    Let me get this straight...
You get play from the girl of your dreams
PR Shoulder Press using the 3 digit dumbells
Hit up some fun with the guys
    Then get more play
(all in one afternoon/evening I might add.. S)
You are a success my friend . Share your secrets. (Crippy)

    rookiebldr says:
As for the weight gain, that too shouldn't be a problem, just tell them your leaning out. Then flex your bi and tell them to ****ing get lost.
    Shane says:
yeah or throw something at them
    rookiebldr says:
    like a couple of 45's
