For the purposes of weight gain you should focus first on a bodybuilding type of program to help you add as much lean mass as possible. See our HCT-12 program. After that I would switch you to a Westside template to optimize performance. Watch the following video on box squatting and learn to squat just like Laura. Box squats build your legs, hips, and glutes with almost no knee stress which is EXACTLY what you want as an athlete.
