Ok, I was wondering about this contriversial exercise. Is it effective? Should I start adding flys to my regular exercise program, ( I am an ectomorph, and I am trying to put on some muscle)?
If so, is the proper method to keep the arms slightly bent of fully extended?
Any advice will be appreciated.
Yeah if you think it works for you then go ahead. They're part of my routine, and I really like them. I think it works better when the arms are slightly bent. Any other more knowledgable people have opinions?
Stick with compound movements (that's what packs on the mass), isolation movements like flys are better left as polish training (i.e. pre-contest or when cutting).
They're effective, but I'd go with weighted dips, a much better alternative.
