Generous amount of squats bro...liking the added volume in general, that will do a lot of good.

Hell yeah about the milk! Its funny cause just tapping the board I can knock out about 30 of these. Pausing 2 or 3 seconds, 3 sets of 8 is plenty! Haha.

Yeah I guess I am J. Mass moves mass.

    Monday 8/13/12 - Deadlift

Deadlift (conventional, every rep paused on the floor):
    135x5
    135x5
    225x3
    315x3
    355(70%) x 5 x 5 sets

    RDLs:
    185x10
    185x10
    185x10

    Step Ups (18 inch box):
    bar x 20
    95 x 20
    95 x 20

    Weighted Situps:
    25 x 10
    25 x 10
    25 x 10

Not gonna lie, this was pretty tough. It wasn't the weights that were tough, it was the volume. However, I think this is just what I need. My lower back fatigues very easy and this is probably the cure for that. It all felt really good though. Working on getting my hips higher at the start of my pull. Not used to this kind of training but I'm digging it so far.

Thanks J! I didn't try it today because I forgot about it. I'll try it soon though. I like the idea of it.

Exactly Polk. Never thought pulling this light oculd be this hard. Its funny cause after the first set I was like, This is gonna be easy. But about 4 sets in I was pouring sweat and sucking air.

    Friday 8/17/12 - Squats

    Squats:
    135x5
    135x5
    225x3
    working sets
    305(65%) x 5 x 5 sets

    Front Squats (close stance):
    135x8
    185x8
    185x8

    Good Mornings:
    135x8
    135x8
    135x8

    Weighted Planks:
    bw + 45 x 1 minute
    bw + 45 x 45 seconds
    bw + 45 x 45 seconds

Today was not the ball buster I though it was gonna be. I was sweating and breathing hard but it was manageable. Squats felt explosive and form felt good. I had some weight gainer (peanut butter cup milkshake, LOL) last night before bed and felt full of energy this morning. Gonna make that a semi daily habit

Thanks Brian! I don't really time them. Just wait till my breathing calms down a little. Today it was around 1:00 - 1:30 between sets. I always try to push it pretty hard.

Damn, that's no rest at all, lol. I usually take about 2mins between warmups and depending on how I feel, I go from 2-5mins on my working sets.

    Sunday 8/20/12 - Bench Assistance

    Floor Press:
    225 x 12 x 3 sets

    Barbell Row:
    135 x 20 x 3 sets

    Side Raises:
    4x10

    EZ Curls/Skulls Superset:
    3x10

Sub par night. Got home from weekend trip to Denver at like 6:30 and just had no energy. Also this workout was supposed to take place on Saturday but of course that wasn't happening on a family weekend. So since I have to pull today I just kept everything light and cut the sets down some. It wasn't one of the big three days so not a big deal.

    Deadlift:
    135x5
    135x5
    225x3
    225x3
    315x2
    345x2

    380(75%) x 5 x 4 sets

    Step Ups:
    95x20
    115x20
    115x20

    Weighted GHRs:
    3 x 8

Pretty good day. Pulls went ALOT easier than last week for some reason. Had to cut it short cause I had a client coming in so I'll hit my abdominals on Wednesday with bench. Things are looking good so far with this new program. I'll weigh in next week to see how my weight is coming along.
