The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Florida seems like a hotbed for powerlifting. I need to move. Haha. I might have to start training without knee wraps though if I go USAPL. Yeah I would like to work with him again.

That is true, we have a crazy amount of federations here in Florida. Yeah, you would need some time to adjust to the sleeves and figure out where your numbers would be. I don't blame you, I keep going back myself, lol.

I was thinking about ordering some knee sleeves doing this next cycle without wraps. I am thinking about taking 30-40 pounds off my wrapped squat to use as my non-wrapped training max. I doubt I get more than 40 pounds from wraps.

    Monday 10/29/12 - Squat

    Squat:
    Lots of Warmups
    275x5
    275x5
    275x5
    275x5

    Step-ups:
    95 x 8 each leg
    135 x 8 each leg
    135 x 8 each leg

    Weighted Leg Raises:
    3x10

Took it pretty easy today on squats. Just enough weight to feel something on my back. I am adjusting my training max to 440 for this cycle which I plan on doing sans wraps. I am also moving my stance out about an inch to try it out. I squat with a pretty narrow stance so just trying something new and see if I get results.
    Meet PR's (raw):

    Squat: 500
    Bench: 360
    Dead: 525

Thanks J! Yeah if I can add around 20 pounds every 8 weeks that is a 60 pound increase in 6 months. Not too shabby...
    Also, see Brian's comment below.

You beat me too it Brian. Haha.

good to see you getting back into the swing of things to JK, think the extra decrease in ROM no matter how short will always help!

    Wednesday 10/31/12 - Bench

    Bench
    Lots of warmups
    225 x 5 x 5 sets

    Chins:
    BW + 45 x 6
    BW + 45 x 6
    BW + 70 x 5
    BW + 70 x 5

    Dbell Bench:
    100 x 10
    100 x 10
    100 x 10
    100 x 7

    EZ Bar Skull Crushers:
    Bar + 90 x 10 x 3 sets

Pretty good night. Kept bench very light and went hard on the rest. On a side note, dropped a 25 on my big toe during warmups. It is a black and blue, swollen, bloody mess. Still, I couldn't help but laugh.
    Meet PR's (raw):

    Squat: 500

Tone I can only hope to be at the point where I'm dropping 45's on my toe. Maybe one day...LOL! Actually the hardest part about the whole ordeal was not screaming like a little bitch in front of everyone when it happened.

Yep. Worked really well the first time. Only difference is I'm going without wraps. I took 30 pounds off my squat max to compensate for that.
