I totally agree, I'm just not wanting to put the weight on, lol. I have plans for one more meet this year at 242, and then I'm probably going to pack the weight on. Not sure yet, I feel right at home in the 242's. But I feel that I'm topped out and I need to move up. So what's next for you?

I know what you mean about staying at a weight. I wanted a better total at 181 but it just wasn't going to happen at that weight.

The next meet is May 11th. USPA state meet. Just gonna hit a total to qualify for nationals or worlds. I have a lot of filling out to do yet. I need to put on 10-15 more pounds to get to the top of my weight class. Numbers goal for this year.....1500 at 198. I think that's well within my reach as I left a lot of pounds on the platform Saturday.

I still think I can put up a decent total at 242, but I feel like I'm holding myself back. I love to eat and I hate not being able to pig out, lol. This for me takes the fun out of it.

I would love to do nationals this year but once again I can't. I've thought about trying to get sponsors to help pay my way, but I don't want to feel commited.

Dude your already putting up spectacular totals at 242. Lol!

I bet you could get some local business to pay your way. I get my entry fees payed by my gym and all I have to do is wear the tshirt and promote whenever I can. I'm under no obligation to do any meet but if I do, it's payed for.

    Thanks dude, lol.

One of these days I'll try and see how much I can come up with. If I can come up with just my cost, we can cover the rest. But, this year is already no good for me. So I'll have to try next year.

So this week I'm resting (of course) and getting my next training cycle together. Next meet is May 11th. Looking to go well over 1400 raw. Dont know how this will shake out but I'm thinking something around 530/380/540. I'm basically gonna train like I did for my last meet. Can't argue with the results. I am going to put alot of assistance emphasis on my glutes and hams as I feel that is where I am weakest. GOnna hit my tris a little harder this cycle as well. I still have 6-7 pounds to go till I hit 198 so I'll continue to do the whoe milk thing.. Should be fun!!

    Squat:
    Lots of warmups
405x0 (bar slid down my back and I dumped it)
    405x3
    Added belt and wraps
    405x3
    405x3
    405x3
    405x3

    High bar close stance squats:
    275x5
    275x5
    274x5
    275x5
    275x5
    275x5

    RDLs:
    230x8
    230x8
    230x8
    230x8

    Hanging leg raises:
    3x12

So I dropped too quickly and the bar slid down my back an inch causing me to take a step forward to balance myself. I might have been able to struggle it back up with some major effort but I decided to play it safe and just dumped it backwards. It was good entertainment for our clients anyway, haha! Aside from that, everything felt good.
