hurt neck doing pull ups again

this is the second time in the last month that while doing pull ups I hurt my neck.
I would say it is about 1.5in left of my spine lower neck area and goes up in a line from there.
    Hurts to move head ect....

    any ideas?

    thanks

Are you turning your head while you are doing pull-up's? (looking at something, talking to someone, etc.)

Keep your chin down against your breastbone. This is a "neutral" position, and it is very difficult to injure your neck if you keep it there.
