I think the mens are as well when you consider their primary goal is not to be good at the O-lifts, but rather to achieve a superior level of overall conditioning.

Alex, there is now a lot of money in CF, you should think about it. I imagine you could do pretty darn well.

Alex would destroy with a couple months of wods and gymnastics training. Assuming he can't already do basic level gymnastics moves.

What's the prize money at this year, 50k for first place? Plus Reebok and supplement spnsorships just making a name for yourself at the games.

With your lift numbers and also being able to run marathons I would really like to see how you do in crossfit. Get some of the movements down for increasing speed on them and you would be ready to go.

The Open will run from February 22 through March 25, 2012. There will be five workouts in
the Open. One workout will be released during each of the five weeks.
    1. Each workout will be released on Wednesday at 17:00 PST (GMT-8). Athletes will
have 96 hours, until Sunday at 17:00 PST, to validly complete the workout and

    2. Once the workout closes on Sunday, an Athlete will not be able to adjust or resubmit
    any score for that workout.
    c. Validating Workouts
    i. Athletes must perform the workout and have their score validated by a CrossFit Affiliate in
good standing and/or by uploading a video of their workout to the CrossFit Games
    website.
ii. It is the sole responsibility of the Athlete to ensure the timely and successful submission of
their workout each week. Scores that are not validated will not be accepted.
iii. Only valid CrossFit Affiliates in good standing (as determined by CrossFit, Inc.) have the
ability to validate scores. To opt-in to validate scores, they commit to upholding the
standards and ethics of the CrossFit Games and assert that they have the equipment and
    facility to administer the workout.

Based on the numbers above if you managed to go top three at the regional competition you are looking at a minimum of $1,000 - but at the national level the top three are $25K for 3rd, $50K for 2nd, and $250K for the Champion.

Anyone who places well in Regionals/Nationals probably has a good chance at sponsorship deals or other endorsements as well.

The women's numbers are impressive, plus alot of them are hot too.
The men's not so much. My thinking is if I can do, it's not impressive.

I want to see Alex will the world championship, then give a lecture on how cross fitters would be better served with some periodization, while drinking a beer and eating a doughnut...

Larry, you have to understand they habe that strength in the context of ridiculous strength endurance and endurance. Trust me, you can't do it. I've seen it.

I'm going off the info posted in the first post. My squat and dead were about 100 heavier in each, my clean and jerk, and snatch were about 30 lbs lighter in each, without training either, and using stiff power bars. This was while the vast majority of my time was spent doing MMA and only lifting about 4 hours a week.
I under stand they have crazy endurance but nothing was posted about that, based on the info giving, max strength, I stand but my comment of not impressive, for the reason of if I can do it, it's not impressive, because nothing I do is impressive.
