The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Awesome set. I was half expecting to see some shitty push press reps as most people seem to consider that a strict OHP now.

Can't wait till I can press that overhead. Few things look as mighty as lifting heavy weight over your head.

    Great work, Justin!

Haha. Yeah I hate that shit! I get it if you're testing your pushpress or just trying to put the biggest # up. Harder is stronger..

Try Oly Shoes if you have them, definitely helps with stability.

A 300 SOHP from the rack position is a rare thing nowadays, very strong set!

That's strict and strong. My 1RM is 215lbs so I've got a long way to go.

Not so sure about the oly shoes. I usually just wear chucks but forgot them. I attribute most of the instability to poor core strength at the moment..

Thanks for all the positive feedback fellas! This is just the beginning!!

    Strong!

Have you tried taking a slightly wider stance? May help for stability.

I honestly hadn't even considered stance. I'll give it a shot next go round. Thanks

I use a stance that is similar to my set up for squats, and focus on staying on my heels while pressing.

It looks like you are definitely good for mid 300's right now... looking forward to seeing more videos of your OHP!
