    Amino Acid Capsules

Are taking Amino Acid capsules a good thing? I was looking at Optimum Nutrition brand of them when I was at the store.

Im currently taking 100% Gold Standard Whey and Casein from Optimum Nutrition. I am also taking Creapure Creatine Monohydrate, 18 years old, just was suggested taking aminos. I know that there are amino acids in the protein that I am taking, I just dont know if taking capsules also would be beneficial.

Are you finding it hard to get enough protein from your diet? Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, so they are not a bad thing per se. What are your goals? What is the context? For example, are taking Amino Acid capsules a good thing for _________? Fill in the blank.

Quick muscle recovery = protein and carbs. Muscle building is usually acheived by a calorie surplus and high protein. You would not need amino acid capsules for either. You can achieve what you want with whole foods or a quality protein powder+carbs.
