    Training variation?

    Just out of curiosity, how often do you guys switch up your routine?

    And do you replace exercises with different ones, or switch the order around?

    I change my routine when I get bored or when I stop gaining.

    ditto - Which turns out to be around 8 to 12 weeks. Also I try to take a week off before I start a new routine.

    My stats:
    Age - 43
    ht - 5' - 7"
    wt - 152 lbs
    bf% - 10.5%
    pipe dream goal 175 lbs @ 10% bf
    making the switch to power lifting

    i have not changed the basics in the last 8 months (excluding injury form other sports).

    i may change a exercise now and then if in a rush as some one is using the squat rack/ bench etc that i want to use.

    this gives me a little change now and then. but next week go back to my originally routine.
    my exprience - joined gym 10 years ago, 6 1/2 years hard weight training exprience.
