    squats with DB

    I dont squat 300lbs. Is it better using dumbells rather than smith machine for squats.

    Squating with DBs are fine, But using a BB would be better.

    Why don't you squat 300lbs?

    I think it would kind of be awkward to do squats with DBs. If it is a choice between the Smith machine and DBs I would use the Smith machine. Once you get comfortable with the Smith machine start with the bar.
