The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

been a while since i posted. Since my last post i did my 2nd meet on May 18th. I added 180lbs to my total PR. Here is how it broke down:
    Squat 405 (90lb PR)
    Bench 280 (50lb PR)
    Deadlift 440 (40lb PR)
    Total 1125 (180lb PR)

The goal going in was to break 1100. Though my last me was to break 1000 and i fell short, i wasn't sure what to expect. I was very happy with my results.

Today we (Jersey Iron) started a new program (12 weeks, which leads us in to August 17th Meet).

    Bench Day:
    Floor Press
    Barx10
    135x5
    185x10
    210 8x3

    Close Grip Bench:
    135 3x12 off 2 board

    DB Incline:
    1x20 @45lbs
    1x20 @50lbs

    Orange Band Flys
    3x15

I plan on trying to keep up with this more, at least just for myself to track what i do.

Pretty good for your first time using bands Dave. And it looks like I finally said something in a way that clicked. You looked pretty good after that. Pull was great. You pulled that first 420 pretty damn easy. The stamina with big weights is something you'll build.

Thanks Tone. Oddly enough for the 1000 times you told me to keep my ass back and sit back..even thought thats what i thought i was doing it didn't totally kick in until the bands held me down..then i realized a lot. The pull still annoys me, i feel i should be higher..like you keep telling me i have to pop the hips, i dont know if i have to do them sooner or what the hell i'm doing..I have a lot to work on with these. I'm sure i'll figure that out more in the weeks to come.
