The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

New Here - BF % Estimate?

Hey guys. New here, just got back into lifting after a year and a half of off-time due to injuries and other things.

I have a short term goal to be 165 pounds and 10% BF (or lower). I'm currently 153 pounds and I'm 6'1''. A pic is below. I'd appreciate any estimates on my current BF %, I'm guessing it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 10% right now (give or take 2% maybe).

Regardless, looking forward to meeting you guys!

That's strange, I could have sworn it went through the first time... Oh well. It should be up now, thanks for the heads up.

Haha yeah, I'm pretty skinny. I'm at 153 pounds right now, hoping to get near 165 by the end of May without increasing my BF % by more than a percent or two.

The percentage doesn't really matter without much muscle but the estimate you proposed is a fair ballpark. You'll look better with more muscle even if your bodyfat goes up some so don't be afaid to put on a little weight.

I wouldnt be worried about your body fat. In fact, I would be eating everything in sight, and keeping a good lifting program going, in order to reach your goal of 165. Good luck to ya!!
