The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I'm just not getting stronger anymore. Please help!

So I have been lifting for a few years now, but since march, I haven't gotten any stronger. I actually have gotten weaker. I have tried everything. I workout 5 times a week, only 1-2 muscles per day, and every week I change my workout up. I eat 135+ grams of protein a day, eat 6 times a day, and eat a lot. I even asked the local bodybuilder at my gym and he told me to take a few weeks and do sets of super high reps(15-20). So I did that, and it kind of worked but now I'm back to square one. I really don't think I'm doing anything wrong, but clearly I am. Please help me figure out what is.

If you're training for strength then I recommend you do Sheiko.
It's Russian ask me if you want all the programs.

Like you I stalled when I was at a 110kg bench. Now I'm up to 145kg. If you want strength then you need to do a strength routine.
Best lifts: 245kg deadlift, 162kg Front Squat, 145kg bench, 105kg log press, 250kg yoke carry, 115kg farmers, No. 2.5 Captains of crush

Theres your problem. Find something that works, and stick with it. If after months (it should take at least that long) it stops producing, find out why, adjust it, and keep going. Become an expert in it. To do this, dont go do some hokey super-shiny new-fangled program ov the day... find a tried and true program (there will be many suggestions following i'm sure), and give it time. At your stage in the game you dont need to 'keep the body confused'... save that for when you bench 2X bodyweight, squat 3X bodyweight, and look like a competitive bodybuilder. Simple simple SIMPLE!

Post up what you do. We're all just guessing if you dont.

And if you can powerclean 195lbs at 132lbs bodyweight you're doing pretty damn good already...
