The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I'd go for anything other than machine curls. I work biceps twice a week, doing different exercises on each day. All in all, I probably do about 6 different bicep exercises...none of which are machine curls. All free weight.

Pretty much what I thought. The reason I asked was because I was reading a bicep workout and it basically said they were interchangable. I should have considered the source - MM (Muscle Media)
And Goin_Big I just use preacher curls at the end of bicep day to shred every last bit of muscle fiber and I don't use the machine.
    Thanks for the good explanations.

    Runt, FYI:

The preacher-style curls work more on your brachialis as opposed to your biceps brachii . . .

I'll do preacher bench stuff occasionally, but by and large I am satisfied to let the brachialis develop as a synergist with the biceps rather than targeting it directly . . .

if you're working out to look buff, the biceps is the big one here and gives you your 'guns'. of course once you get BIG BIG, I guess you gotta work the brachialis separately too...

How is that possible? how can a curl target one muscle over the other? It can't. tuttut
