The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Should I train??

I had still have some stiffness in my calfs, not so much my legs, today is Sunday, and I have my leg day tommorow, so should I still train my legs and calfs?
"It is often said, mainly by the "no-contests", that although there is no positive evidence for the existence of God, nor is there evidence against his existence. So it is best to keep an open mind and be agnostic. At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thought it seems a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

    Yes.

Go do a few sets of bodyweight calf raises followed by some light stretching now.

Tomorrow train legs and then decide if you want to do your normal calf routine or alter/skip it.

Yes it is. Either he is not recovered from the last session which means that breaking down the muscle fibres even further is a poor decision or perhaps he has an injury.
However, this only applies to the calves. You should still do the rest of your leg workout.

manveet, you still have today and tonights sleep for them to recover. Stretch, eat , have a warm bath or something, and i'm sure they'd be fine tomorow.

Haha this guy did Mason's leg routine on Friday and said it was easy! That just shows how much intensity (or the lack of) he applies in a workout.

goin_big, are u kidding, or are u serious? of course soreness is a VERY good reason not to train that muscle. soreness is caused from muscle damage, and working them while muscles are sore disrupts muscle recovery.

manveet, if ur calves are still sore but not ur legs, do legs but not calfs. if u do squats, u put the weight on ur heels, so it shoulnd't affect ur calfs

stfu Eric, ya it was so easy that my legs are still sore from the workout on Friday, and today is Sunday.

I don't agree that soreness is an accurate sign that you shouldn't train.
