    Memorial for Mr. Ted Williams...

Just wanted to say thanks to Mr. Williams for his courage in WWII and the Korean War, what he did for the city of Boston and his great baseball play. As I am only 24 years old, I will remember him most for the moment in Fenway Park at the 1999 All-Star game, when he was driven out to the field and just sat and talked baseball with some of the rest of the greatest players ever. Rest in Peace Mr. Williams. "The greatest hitter that ever lived."

I didn't even know he had passed.
He was one of the all time greats and will be missed.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that he had passed yesterday.

BTW, I love Ted, but I have to correct Dom, he does not have the record for highest average ever. He was only the last player to hit .400...406 to be more accurate. I can go find who has the record if needed, as I don't know it off the top of my head.
