    How to get morning motivation?

It used to be so easy for me to be a morning person I would be up and outta bed in a flash. But for the last two years all my jobs have been evening/night jobs etc and I stayed up later and got up later. Now I want to be able to get up and do my cardio first thing in the morning but its so hard cause my body is so tired and usually aches in the morn. What can I do to get some morning motivation?

Get up, splash cold water on your face, and smack you face a few times.
"It is often said, mainly by the "no-contests", that although there is no positive evidence for the existence of God, nor is there evidence against his existence. So it is best to keep an open mind and be agnostic. At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thought it seems a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

    Richard Dawkins

"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

maybe some music? or giving urself a mental picture of how you're gonna look after all the hard work you put into your body.. or just starting and telling urself you won't quit.. Being in the military I gotta run in the morning regardless.. we call cadence.. sometimes that helps but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to do anything and just run, also knowing it's getting me in better phsyical health keeps me going.. but to tell you the truth I never fall out of a run just because I won't give anyone the satisfaction of seeing me fail. PAIN IS ONLY WEAKNESS LEAVING THE BODY!

Are you still working evenings? B/c if that's the case, you may just have to rearrange your workout time around that if you want to get enough sleep/have enough energy...

If not, just set the alarm and don't let you talk yourself out of it when it goes off in the early morning. It's tough at first, but it gets easier...

I could give all to Time except - except
What I myself have held. But why declare
The things forbidden that while the Customs slept
I have crossed to Safety with? For I am There,
And what I would not part with I have kept.

Here's some of the things I do to get up and stay up in the morning.

    1. Put your alarm clock at the furthest point from your bed, but not so far as to where you won't hear it. Hopefully you have one of those alarms that keeps going until you get up and turn it off.

    2. Most TV's have sleep timers on them, so you can program the TV to turn on at a certain time and make sure the volume is loud enough to get you up.

    3. Just force yourself...I know it's easier said than done, but once you get going, your energy will increase, and you'll feel hella good when you're done.

Try talking a cold shower when you first get up. Get more sleep, stop staying up all night on this forum
