The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Benchpress Top

Helly everyone, I have a question.

I just turned 16 years old, and my top at benchpress is about 265 pounds. I want to know if that is a lot for my age.

Yeah, it's pretty good, but there's a hell of a lot more to lifting than "benching".

It depends on your weight. There is a guy at my gym who weights 390 LBS. When he is benching 3 plates that is 75 LBS less than his body weight.

Yeah, depends on your weight and bodyfat and stuff. Most I ever put up when I was 16 was 280, but that was when I weighed 196.

In Memphis, it is illegal for a woman to drive by herself, unless a man is walking or running infront of the vehicle, waving a red flag in order to warn approaching pedestrians and motorists.

I could lift about 15% more on almost everything when I was 17 compared to now... HS football is a great way to get beefy. Problem was... I was fat too But considering I weigh 155 now, and I was 180 then (faaaaat) that 15% doesn't sound so bad...

OK that had nothing to do with anything but yeah that's pretty good for 16.
    The beginning:
    Feb 1st - 5'10" 155lbs 15%bf

    Current:
    March 30th - 5'10" (imagine that!) 170lbs 18%bf

    Squat: 205x3
    Bench: 205x1
    Deadlift: 305x3

Goal: ~190lbs 18% bf (end of bulk target weight)
