    Windows XP fooked up my sound :( :( help!

    ok, this one has even me stumped. I have a Sound Blaster Live setup, and I can't for the life of me, even with the updated drivers get my computer to spew forth any sound

    BTW sometimes you might want to try to turn the volume up in sounds and multimedia in control panel. SB may be alright.

    well I've had the card in, it worked fine, all the volumes are up fine

    make sure the speakers are hooked into the right place, make sure "mute" is off

    the mute is off. everythign is hooked up right. They worked 30 seconds before windows XP was installed, and stopped as soon as I had it in.

    Boot to safe mode and remove ghost drivers and then reboot and see if it works.

    yeah...yeah basically. Sound Blaster still won't let me access the e.q.'s or anything, but oh well
