    Question about protein

    I currently weigh 194 lbs looking to cut down to about 175-180 I have currently been taking 150 give or take grams of protein a day. I checked my BF % and its at about 20%

    Supplements I'm currently taking are

    1 Multi
    4-5 scoops of protein a day (phase 8 blend or ON 100% whey)
    1 x fish oil
    1 scoop creatine 500

    Bench: 350

    Someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong:

    If you're looking to hold onto your LBM, I think the rule of thumb is 1 to 1.5 grams per lbs of LBM. That means taking in 175-250 grams per day. Whether you drop down to that weight will depend on the rest of your diet and your routine.

    So, I would say eat more.

    You've got 155lbs of lean mass. So anywhere around 150 grams/day should be good.

    Most bodybuilders eat way more protein than they need which is fine. Better to err on the side of caution.

    What does your nutrition plan look like?

    How many grams of fat and carbs per day?

    Total cals per day?

    I don't eat a whole lot throughout the day I need to lose quite a bit of weight. I'd say 1500-2000

    a normal day is:

    Protein shake 1 scoop for breakfast with 2 table spoon Natural PB
    snack - pistacios maybe 1/2 - 1 cup shells on
    lunch 2 fish fillets plain
    snack protein shake 2 scoops
    dinner - salmon or turkey/chicken burger
    snack protein shake 2 scoops

    I get about 150-200 grams a day of protein not a whole lot of carbs or fats I eat oats sometimes for breakfast with my shake

    Also I have 100% whey protein and a Blend protein of all the good slow digesting ones.
    Should I take my blend throughout the day and my whey only after I lift?

    Make sure to eat enough carbs to keep your energy levels up so you an train hard.. don't abandon good carbs and fats all together. An extreme to one side or the other is not optimal... you need balance and results will come with the work.

    What are you eating besides protein powder?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? You should possibly post a picture of you from the front and back, I would like to see where you holding body fat.
