More pegboard, with belts, DB handles, collars, mini deadlift jack, bulletin board and bands...

Thanks, chris! I'm super excited. One more pic:

Bench, and the rest of the platform...

Plenty of room to deadlift, etc outside the rack. Overall, the platform is 12' long x 8' wide.

Thanks Vincent! Yeah I had that in mind while I was piecing it all together, to me it's a brief but effective reminder of how I should approach training.

I also think it's great. The 10,000 'rule' is a good thing to keep in mind.

The 10,000 hour rule is from the Malcolm Gladwell book Outliers, and it basically means that it takes 10,000 hours of doing something to become great at it. I can relate that to lifting in a few different ways: a) consistency is key and it's important not to miss a session because I need to put the time in, b) don't get discouraged by any one bad workout (or even one bad meet), because in reality it's just a drop in a much larger bucket, c) short-term goals can be important, but I shouldn't lose sight of my goal to simply be a life-long lifter, etc.

10,000 Hours is also the name of the Macklemore song that I have quoted in my sig. It's his interpretation of the same rule from Gladwell, and how he's applied it to his life and career.

To become a master of any craft, you need to put in 10,000 hours, so it is said.

Yeah, in the past I've always kind of been in the mindset that only 1RMs are true PRs, but I'm starting to realize that rep PRs can be just as important and are worth tracking. Plus I had to think of something to take up an 8-foot chalkboard, lol.

I hear ya, I've got a few friends in mind that I'm going to invite over to lift with me. Not sure how they'll pan out though. I've always trained by myself for the most part.

Me too. Finding the right training partner is hard to come by, so I would just do my own thing. I get my workouts done faster.

What kind of flooring did you use?

The bottom layer is DRIcore subfloor, plywood panels with plastic ridges that allow air to vent below it. We haven't had water problems lately, but we have in the past so I thought this would be a good idea.
Then a layer of plywood, then a combo layer with plywood down the middle and horse stall mat on the sides, and on top a layer of horse stall mats.
