Occlusion training may be of some benefit, but not to the degree that the studies have indicated. Frankly, a mix of mild compression and heavy training is the better way to go.

Is this where you apply bands around your arms or legs, restricts the flow of blood, making it harder to do the same set/reps of a much lower weight? It's big in Japan.
