The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    2 days out

Chris started with me 7 months ago at 220 lbs and now he's competing at 176. He held on to pretty much all his muscle because we took things nice and slow. Sometime no change is the best change. Chris is full and as dry as we want him so no changes this week, no loading, no reducing water, no change. If they look great there is no reason to change things just because its the week of the contest.

We went thru 2 different training phases so the split was different for both, can't remember off the top of my head. For cardio we did a mix of intervals for 15 min and steady state cardio 3 days a week at most for no more than 40 min. It was all cut out at 3 weeks out.

I tried doing intervals on the bike a few times but my legs are so burnt up after the 3rd interval. For each one I only bumped it up to 15 and went all out for 15-20 seconds. What's your favorite type of interval training.. elliptical, rowing, bike..?

I prefer the bike for competitors. Easy to control with no impact
