    Favorite Back Training Movement

We all know that one of the biggest assets to a big bench is a strong back.

So what's your favorite back movement and how do you approach it sets and reps?

I actually enjoy training back. But my favorite movements would be chest supported rows and DB rows. I'll usually do about 3-4 sets for 10-15 reps.

No barbell rows for anyone? Usually when I ask that question I get lots of those

I do like chest supported rows. when done right they really hit all the major back muscles.

I have really enjoyed pull-ups lately, in-part because I'm not too fat to do them anymore.

@Travis-I do like barbell rows, but I suck at them, lol. Just like CSR, when done right, you can really hit the right muscle. I've been doing them for 3 sets of 15 with light weight and you can definitely feel it.

Another vote for chest supported rows.

I always do my rows after pulling, whenever I try doing barbell rows I end up with a really bad lower back pump/cramps, no matter how light I go.

I found a machine at my gym that mimics a dumbbell row (one knee and hand on a flat bench) but uses a cable instead. I found that it absolutely blasts my lats. I really like chest supported rows too.

I will have to snap one next time I go to that gym, probably end of this week.

Here is the machine I was talking about...

Put your knee on the pad, forearm on the other and grab the handle, grab the grip at the bottom and row. Switch for the other side. Did it again tonight and I honestly haven't done a lat exercise that I can feel as good as this.
