The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Rehband Knee and Elbow Sleeves

Does anyone use these on a regular basis? And if so, do they allow full range of motion, especially on the squat? I'm just looking into these for preventive measures and support.

Never tried them but I've heard tons of good things about the knee sleeves. Was going to order some but I shit my pants when I saw the price.

I wear the knee sleeves weekly. The provide warmth but don't restrict. They could give a little tightness if you wear a few sized down but even that is very minimal.

Invain, one of my friends just told me about Eleiko Knee Sleeves, which are half the price of the Rehband.

I've used them before and they do serve it's purpose. They will allow full range of motion, so no worries. Don't expect any sort of rebound, lol. I've only experienced warmth with some compression.

Brian, what size sbd's did you buy. My knees are 16.5 around. I fall in the xl category. I'm thinking mediums for extra tightness.

    Cool I'll check them out.

I'm curious why everybody claims Rehand's are the best knee sleeves, what's so much different between them and something like the eleiko's? All I'm looking for is something to keep my knees warm/help reduce knee pain. Not looking to get anything out of them as I would with wraps.

I got a pair of XL...there is no way I could go any smaller. If I did, they wouldn't go up far enough on my thigh. My knee joint is the same, so a 2X is standard size and XL is for a tight fit. So I decided on the XL. Measure your calves, if they are bigger then your knee joint, then use that measurement instead.

I don't see how they can be the best. They seem pretty similar to the TITAN knee sleeve. My new SBD sleeves are way better. If you are willing to spend the money, I highly recommend them. If not, then look into Tommy Kono knee sleeves.

Do you slide them on upside down and inside out? I do this and my tight rehbands go on easy. My inner gear whore wants me to go two sizes down lol

No. What I do is, I'll pull it up as far as I can, then I'll fold the bottom and the top over, grab the top and give it a hard pull. Doing this helps get it over my calves. Once I do that, I'll fold the bottom and top back into position and I'll adjust as needed. This seems the easiest for me to do. I've tried how you described above and I can't do those with these.

Trust me, if I could I'd try a large. Personally I think it would be too uncomfortable.

    Totally agree with Brian.
I purchased a pair of SBD's form Anderson Powerlifting. Ken says they are are much better than Rehband or Titan.
Most of the records at the IPF RAW World's, were made with SBD Knee Sleeves.

Scott: IMO if your size is XL and you go for a Medium, you'll have a shit time to use them properly. They won't fit over the upper part of your cuads. It will be very hard to get them through your calves, even using a nylon bag.

I am Large and got an L, and they just fit fine (considering Brians comments)

Tried my Rehband knee Sleeves today for the DE Lower day. Knees felt so nice and warm. Can't wait to try the elbow sleeves.

I've been thinking about replacing my Inzer sleeves with the SBD knee sleeves. I may have to pull the trigger on them. I did order some elbow sleeves from Mark Bell, several people I know rave about them for compression and warmth, hopefully they'll do what I need them to.
