Besides Front Squats, what other exercises help to improve your High Bar Squats?

Max Single. I've switched over to High Bar a while ago because it feels much better to me than low bar.

I was wondering if Paused Squats would help, but I don't see how they would because I use the bounce when I high bar.

Lunges would be an excellent assistance movement.

Step ups and arched back gms. You will need strong quads and a strong arch for high bar.

I definitely need stronger quads. I folded over with 305# today and barely got 295. I'll look up the arched back GMs

My quads got big from Zercher squatting as a main movement. It also moved my back squat up alot considering I didn't train it while zercher squatting.

You should try it, but wear something on your elbows. Ripping your skin just serves no purpose.

Keep in mind though that my back squat was never great, so maybe it went up only because the numbers were so low to begin with.

Edit: Zercher squatting WILL definitely get you bigger quads though, so that in itself would at least provide potential to a higher high bar squat.

The only lift I'm proud of at this point is a close stance, ass to grass zercher squat of 170kg x2 at 85kg bw. If only they held zercher squat competitions...
