The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

wtf? My head went pop on a set of leg press...

Ok, I was doing a giant set of Squats, Leg Ext and Leg press last night. When all was done and I was on my 7th rep of my leg press, something kinda went pop and my head hurt. I reckon that it was because of my poor breathing technique (poor means I wasn't breathing at all). So anyone have any idea if what happened was really bad?

Yeah I've done that **** several times before, I ended up with excruciating head pain for several days following whenever I tried to do certain lifts where I tensed my neck. I *believe* it's due to a burst blood vessel and no it isn't serious as I'm still alive. It's a bitch though and it was hard as hell to lift the following few days.

The only thing that should pop in your head are your ears . . . and only when you're on a plane, flying at 30,000 feet.

Happened to me as well during a my heavy sets of overhead presses. It felt like it was right under my scalp, but there was no bruising so I don't think it was a blood vessel. I think it may have been some connective tissue. Having a doctor examine you would be a good idea just to be sure.
