    A week off produced results!!

I did about 2 weeks of HIT training then took a week off..I gained a little in every area! Gained 3 good pounds and stayed at the same BF roughly..I guess it is good to take a break every now and then? I came back to the gym today just as strong if not a little stronger.
A strong mind needs a strong body to back it up!!!!!!

I find my strength is close to the same or better after a week off but that my endurance (how much I lift for my third or fourth exercise) suffers.

Think what would happen if you took 2 weeks . . .

Although I think a break after only a couple of weeks is to soon. (unless you're overtraining, of course)

I'm glad that you posted this because I feel small during my week off from lifting. I am eating everything in sight and I am keeping my bf% down by taking up some bedroom cardio. hehehehee

I still can't wait to get back in the gym

What are your diets like when your off, do you do any cardio? I have been writing everything down, making myself work harder each time. I can see a lot of progress, but I don't seem to be gettting any bigger. I might need a break. Sometimes I'll take 3-4 day breaks, is that enough? I'm getting bigger, but slowly, 17 lbs in 6 months.

I eat hardy!! I try and eat more because I have more time. I try and sleep more and eat more to improve my recovery during my week. So when I go back to the gym I am stronger.

Everyone says that you grow outside the gym, and I know it's true, but they also say not to eat more that you burn, how do you know how much you burn, and how much more should you eat to grow. I have my theories, but i want to hear everyone elses ideas.

Why would you eat more then you burn?? How are you supposed to gain weight if you don't??

I just got back from a two week vacation (actually, a bit more than two weeks) and I've noticed the same thing. My lifts are about the same, but my endurance has decreased. It's harder to do those last sets and those last exercises. However, I've been back in the gym for three sessions now and it's coming back every day, so it's really not so bad. Just the first or second day back are killers. Oh, and forget about the DOMS

Ummm... that's not slowly dude. Considering the most muscle that can be gained in a year is about 15-20lbs.
