Has anyone done Sky diving, base jumping or bungee jumping?

Has anyone tried any of that stuff, what was your experience like, and how much did it cost? I've always wanted to do something like this.
"It is often said, mainly by the "no-contests", that although there is no positive evidence for the existence of God, nor is there evidence against his existence. So it is best to keep an open mind and be agnostic. At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thought it seems a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

heh. bam is my kindred spirit.

i've sky-dived before. it was a long long time ago, and it wa sout on long island. it was a buddy jump for a 100 bucks.

it was scary as hell at first, but i strapped my balls on and went for it. and it was worth every minute. i didn't really see much of anything cept the ground coming up at me. and landing was a bit difficult but my buddy helped with that.

oh and yes...i was totally afraid that the chute wouldn't open, or that it would open and pots and pans would come flying out, like in the cartoons.

Ya, I would hate to smash into the ground and die. Anyways, ya, it's something that I've always thought of doin. I know I will go through with it some day. Maybe in like a couple years or something.

I've grown up around skydiving. Since I was a wee lad- I am 29 now. My dad has been jumping for 31 years. He has around 2400 jumps now. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Skydiving is hella exciting and allot safer than you may think.
