    Biceps widening but not peaking?

    For the last month or so now ive noticed considerable changes in my biceps, but instead of peaking like they were doing for awhile as well as widening, now they are just getting bigger and wider without any noticeable difference in the peaks. Should i change the exercises im doing or is that just the genetic make-up of my biceps?

    I'll be nice about this

    You can't force your biceps to peak, they will grow as your genetics allow them.

    Well thats what ive heard from some people, other have told me that stuff like concentration curls will peak the bi's and others have told me that preacher curls make the brachialordis or something grow which pushes your bis up to peak them more. Thats all nonsense?

    the brachiwhatchamacallit grows best from hammer curls which is why many of us recommend that you do a set or 2 of hammer curls at the end of your bicep routine. As for Conc. Curls they will force you to use strict form which can make your biceps get worked better if you don't have good form on your curls.

    The peak is just a genetic thing, you can't force it more.

    I like to hang upside down from the chin-up bar and use a mixed grip negative contraction reverse curl with a wide grip to hit my biceps HARD! Man you can practically see your peak growing with this exercise!

    Especially if you hang by only your big toes. That's what really sets off the peak building fibers.

    Haha EP!

    Yeah this is pretty much what I like to do too. If I actually hang from a chin-up bar with one arm and use the other arm to curl a DB. This way my arm hanging will force the other arm to peak more. Seems to work pretty well at peaking my biceps, not widening them.

    If you haven't noticed, it is the common belief of the public that there is no way to make your biceps peak. It's all genetics. Same reason some guys' bicep starts an inch above his elbow while some others start right on the joint. It's all genetics.

    K thats what i needed to hear, thanks. I dont mind being made fun of for not knowing stuff, but im just trying to get information, surely all of you didn't know everything when you started lifting. Thanks for the replies.
