Right, i tore my pec about 2 years ago doing flat bench press, since then I have feared the bench and always used dumbells ( dont ask why i don`t know ) hehe, recently I decide to start doing bench, My first set was on an incline bench as the flat bench was being used, yeah I was lifting pussy weights but I was happy to be at it again.

When I tried flat bench I got a really bad pain in my front delts which lasted for about a minute after i finished the set, the week later I made sure my delts were thoroughly warmed up before the sets but yet again I was in pain doing them, however when I incline bench the pain isnt half as bad ! Any ideas ??

i know inclines arent necessary but it feels a lot safer and less painful!
