    Hammer Strength Rows

    hey guys, I have a quick question for ya.

    Sometimes when I do hammer strength rows my arm "hurts", the bad kinda hurt. I think it has something to do with the angle of the seated pad. How high up or down should i set the pad on the machine? Does it make any difference at all? Please reply ASAP cause friday is my back day!

    Well, it's probably too late but might help for next time...I believe the seat should be situated so that when your arms are in the start position, they are parallel to the floor.

    Triple P, I use this machine but do my reps standing...not seated. Have you tried this? Stand in front of the machine and do your shrugs. I hate using this machine doing them seated.

    where does your arm hurt ?

    I can easily hurt my shoulder if I go for a stretch at the bottom

    I usually have the pad hitting my abs

    So my arm should be parallel to the floor when starting? i vary the height of the seat, so sometimes i am pulling the weight up. anywho, the main question is about the position of the seat, does it matter? maybe my arm is hurting because the range of motion is too great? anyone?
