what are the risks of eating raw tuna besides parasites, ive read that if you freeze raw fish for afew hours it will kill the parasites, is there anything else bad about eating raw tuna all the time?
Freezing will not kill everything. I'm sure there are bacteria that are tolerent to the cold to some degree. The only way to be safe is to cook it :0

I've been eating sashimi at least once a week for the past 5 years, and have gotten food poisoning 0 times.
I guess it might depend on where you go.. In my case, I'd say the fish is 100% save. OK maybe 99.9%.
hell, it is good...everything can kill you or give you cancer nowadays...just be smart about where u get the tuna from!

One thing to remember is that raw proteins are digested VERY fast in about 20-30 minutes. I would eat a real meal at least 1.5-2 hours tops after eating the sashimi...
Well you don't usually eat JUST sashimi by itself...
I was just making a comment about the digestion time...
As I don't eat sashimi I wouldn't know what else it is served with...
You dip it in loads of soy sauce with wasaaaaaaaaaabi. Sushi/sashimi = goodness.

also try marinating it in lemon juice and oil.
sashimi = any kind of raw fish, that is meant to be eaten raw. not only tuna (maguro).
it is safe, if you now it was prepared (cut, transported) the right way. wasabi helps to make your stomach clean. soy sauce is only for the taste.
Sashimi may be my choice for a new post-workout protein
Some orange juice, dextrose, and a half friggen pound of salmon. w00t!
