    Cutting, bulking, lifting.

Does your lifting routine vary depending on whether you're cutting or bulking, or is it only your caloric intake that changes?

Diet is the determining factor in cutting. Lifting will help you retain the muscle and keep metabolism elevated.

My routine and the theory behind it doesn't change regardless of my diet.

You can optimize your lifting for cutting, but its not necessary.

Are you able to progress with your lifts (do you get stronger) when you're on a cutting cycle? Or do you settle for maintainence?
