The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I did 2 months of sheiko training over a year ago. I did the usual progression from template 28 to template 37 which covered a span of 2 months. I tested my lifts after those 2 months. Deadlift and squat did ok, but bench suffered.
I did not like it at all. Mostly, the volume is ridiculous, I was tired of being in the gym for over 2 hours all the time. I've had better success with 5 3 1 and I'm out of the gym in much faster times

Its basically scattered about the elitefts.com q&a section, article section, and wendler's log. There are a few threads I've seen on T-nation that summarize the program, but seriously, buy the book, best $20 you will spend, trust me.

I have not done it and I never would, I do like that the competition lifts get plenty of practice but the volume is to high.

You NEED to do accessory work which is not done.

No speed work ever, no overloads, no time for recovery, no way of training when tired (back off max stuff and only train accessorys).

I would bet it would work for a while but not over long periods which is what matters.

Are you doing this for hypertrophy or for strength?

If you're doing this for hypertrophy there are better choices out there than Sheiko
