The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Chest Question

Alright, I am on a bulking cycle and I have seen positive growth in all aspects of my body, yet my chest, my lower chest in particular, seems to be lagging behind. My question is this, my only form of cardio up until this point is running 30 minutes on 8.6 on a treadmill with no incline for 30 minute, could this be too high impact and thus hampering the development of my chest? I appreciate any responses or other potential ideas of what may be potentially hampering my development would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to work the lower part of your chest is to do inverted dips while holding a DB with your teeth. Oh yes, and steroids. You must load up on gear to have a good chest. That is all.

Why not try searching the forum and finding out for yourself that you can't isolate parts of the chest? This topic has been done to death and back. Thanks, drive through.

thats not even my question you idiot, my question is whether my running could be too high impact and perhaps hampering my chest development? If anyone could offer any advice or opinions, on the topic above, I would be truly appreciative.

Seriously, I think 30 mins. of cardio up to 3 times or even 4 times a week is not going to hamper your muscular development. Too much cardio definitely will, that seems to be well-documented at this point, but most of what I've read says 20-30 minutes of cardio three times per week will get you plenty of cardiovascular fitness without the danger of you burning up hard-won muscle.

My initial post was because of your "lower chest" question. Folks here don't adhere to the "upper-middle-lower" chest development school, although they talk about it ad-nauseum on some other boards.

I'm not a BBer, really, but I've read enough from the good ones on this board to believe they'd tell you do barbell or dumbbell presses, followed by dumbbell flyes, capped off with dips. You'll grow your chest, upper, lower and middle. Just keep doing 'em and eating enough of the right stuff and you'll chest will come along. Patience helps. There's no magic to it.

Folks are real friendly here, they just have an edgy sort of humor you'll grow to like, if you hang around a while. Good luck!

P.S. If you really want to discuss targeting specific portions of your chest, go to www.abcbodybuilding.com. They'll give you more suggestions that you can shake a stick at. Around here, you'll just get abuse.

See any post by Hulk and read the threads in his signature. It's really very informative reading. . .and extremely entertaining. . .unless you're asking the questions, that is.

Damn, good call with the whole "furious" image. You need to lighten up, man. My post was all in good humor. The chest thing has been done to death on these boards.
