oh and "Mr. 30 reps to tone".....heh. remember that puerto rican girl trainer i was telling you about? well i decided to amuse myself by asking the various trainers for tips. SO i asked one of the "better" trainers what would be the fastes way to cut:
him: what you need to do is a fullbody workout 4 times a week.
me: yeah? what's the rep range on that?
him: you should 20-30 reps.
me: really? i'm doing 6-8 now..
him: do you wanna put on muscle??
me: yeah...as much muscle as possible.
him: but you'll get bulky!
me: no i won't man.....i'm a chick, i don't have the testosterone i need for that.
him: yeah, you're right a woman won't put on a lot of muscle without some help, but what you should do is tone. 20-30 reps, and you'll make the muscles hard, but they will be small. that's what you want.
me: well thanks for your input. i appreciate it.
then i went and had a good chuckle with one of the guys who know's the deal.
