Getting ready to start a bulk for the first time, questions,,

Everytime I have lifted in the past has always been to cut fat. I have never bulked before. Could I get some answers to these two questions please?

    1. Since I am bulking should I even bother with cardio?

    2. Can I get an idea of daily calories needed? I am 35yrs, male, 160lb.

    Thanks,
    Jerry

Question #1 = no cardio, IMO defeates the purpose of bulking.

Question #2 = Take in at least 500 cal over maintainance.

I am bulking now and the same age +1 year as you. What I have been doing is just keeping track of my protein intake and not worrying about my carbs. I have been gaining 1 to 1.5 lbs per week and eating every 2 to 2.5 hours. Currently 220lbs. Starting weight was 195lbs.

    Good Luck !!
If at first you don't succeed, take 5 lbs. off and try again.

Gonna shoot for 1 to 1.5 per week and eat as cleanly as possible. Eating properly has always been my downfall.

I would cardio too unless you feel you have to do it. In which case take that into account for your calorie requirements.

I don't mind doing cardio but I won't miss it. It just seems to me that I need to store cals not burn them. I'll probably start a cutting diet again around Jan or Feb. Thanks again
